Because here’s the thing—we all want to belong. It’s one of the deepest human needs. But for so many of us, especially as women, that need has been reshaped into something else entirely: a survival mechanism.
We learned early that approval meant safety. That if we were easy enough, agreeable enough, pleasing enough—then we would be chosen.
