Hello Brave Ones,
Let’s talk about a kind of knowing that doesn’t come from books, advice, or logic. A knowing that doesn’t need permission or approval. A knowing that lives deep within your bones—quiet, steady, and often ignored.
I’m talking about intuition.
For centuries, women’s intuition has been dismissed, diminished, and devalued. We’ve been told to trust the “facts,” follow the rules, and seek validation from authority figures—often at the expense of our own inner wisdom. We’ve been conditioned to believe that certainty comes from the outside world and that our inner voice is unreliable, emotional, or even dangerous.
But what if that voice inside you is the most powerful guide you have?
This week is about radical self-trust—reclaiming your inner authority and learning to listen to the voice that has always been there, whispering beneath the noise.
Why We Learn to Mistrust Ourselves
It’s not an accident that we’re taught to ignore our instincts.
From a young age, we’re trained to prioritize what others think of us. Be polite, even when something feels off. Smile, even when you’re uncomfortable. Say yes, even when your body screams no.
This conditioning creates distance between us and our intuition. We start to second-guess that quiet voice inside. We ask for advice when we already know the answer. We look for signs outside ourselves instead of listening to what we feel.
But here’s the truth:
You don’t need anyone else’s permission to trust yourself.
Your intuition isn’t soft. It isn’t weak. It’s fierce, primal, and often inconvenient—because it doesn’t care about being polite. It cares about what’s true.
And when you stop questioning it and start listening, you reclaim something profound: your own authority.
Unfiltered Moment
There was a time in my life when I trusted everyone before I trusted myself.
I didn’t realize how much I had handed my power away—how deeply I believed that someone else would always know better than me. It was subtle at first: asking for advice before making a decision, waiting for outside validation before I took action, second-guessing the little nudges my body was giving me.
But over time, that self-doubt took root. I stopped listening to myself altogether.
The turning point didn’t come in a flash of clarity—it came in silence. A quiet realization that every time I ignored my intuition, I felt smaller. Every time I sought approval, I stepped further away from myself.
The truth hit hard: No one could give me the answers I was looking for. Because those answers had been inside me all along.
Learning to trust myself again wasn’t easy—it meant getting quiet, tuning in, and being willing to make choices that other people didn’t understand. It meant disappointing others in order to stay true to myself.
But every time I followed my intuition, even when it didn’t make logical sense, I found clarity. I found freedom. And I found a version of myself who didn’t need to be chosen—because she had already chosen herself.
